Gov. Yusuf's defection hits hard as workers desert Kwankwaso secretariat

The  Defection of Gov. Abba KabirYusuf of the NNPP is hitting harder than expected as the Secretariat of the Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso led group in Abuja is now deserted. 

The former headquarters NNPP Secretariat,  in the wake of litigations between the Kwankwaso led Kwankwasiya Movement and the group led by the Founder of the party, Dr Boniface Aniebonam is now empty with members of staff of the Secretariat. no where to be found. 

Commenting on the issue, the National treasurer of the Aniebonam led NNPP, Prince  Omokanyeade Toyese,  described the situation as an act of God and terrible 

"I was at the Secretariat  to deliver  a message to Mr Dipo Olayoku, who runs the outfit and met the place under under lock and key during working hours.

"A young man by the entrance gate- side,  a security guard,  was very unfriendly and looking very hungry,  was  unapproachable as i wanted to make my findings. 

"However, when I insisted on  asking the whereabouts of Olayoku or the administrative head Mr Alokha Sunday , the response was terrible- Oga Wallahi i don't know, dem no come again , no pay salary , i am hungry, oga say no money to pay." Out of sympathy he dashed him ten thousand naira and he was very happy.

Toyese said the situation was one of the  consequences of Yusuf decamping to APC, pointing out that many more members of the Kwankwasiya movement shall desert Kwankwaso. 

The NNPP chieftain said that Kwankwaso should have retraced his steps and listened to good counsel, when his closest followers advised him to seek out Aniebonam for forgiveness.

"Kwankwaso's betrayal was one of the worsts in political history. A man gave you his platform for free to contest for president, you turn around to say you are expelling him and trying to hijack the party.

"What has happened made most of us to believe that Karma is real and that God fights for anyone who is close to him and kind like Aniebonam.

"All those people who had been dragging Aniebonam for his goodness will not know peace.                                                                "The situation on ground is that  unemployed characters have created so much problem for Kwankwaso and now he has no platform for his presidential ambition."


He reiterated that NNPP will fully participate in the 2027 general elections and that Kwankwaso will not be readmitted into their fold,"

  State Creation: MOVE LUDICROUS AND ILL TIMED - NNPP. The Joint Committee on Amendment of the 1999 Constitution has resolved to create additional states to the existing 36 across the country. The committee co-chaired by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Jubrin Barau, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has received 55 requests for more states.
