CLARION CALL AND PASSIONATE APPEAL TO  THE HON. ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION TO ADVISE NEW INEC CHAIRMAN ON THE URGENT NEED TO UPLOAD NNPP NATIONAL OFFICERS ON IT'S WEBSITE

Gentlemen of the Press,

We are here today to let Nigerians know that on the 16th day of December, 2024, the Dr. Ahmed Ajuji led  group of New Nigeria People's Party loyal to the former Presidential Candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso approached the High Court of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Challenge the legitimate Congresses and Convention of New Nigeria People's Party NNPP , led by the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees, Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, asking the court to stop the convention and congresses that were already ongoing and declared the outcome ultra vires.

The Dr Ajuji led  Kwankwaso  group were the Plaintiffs in the matter while Chief Boniface Aniebonam led NNPP were the defendants.

Truth are usually constant thereafter three good months of legal battle, the High Court of Federal Capital Territory in a landmark judgment Delivered by His Lordship, Justice M.A. Hassan dismissed the case instituted by Dr Ajuji led Kwankwaso group against Chief Boniface Aniebonam led New Nigeria People's Party.

Chief Boniface Aniebonam                                  Founder & Chairman Board of Trustees NNPP

The legal import of the judgment of the High Court of Federal Capital Territory made the Ajuji led Group of Kwankwaso the judgment Debtor while Chief Boniface Aniebonam led NNPP became  the judgment's Creditor.

However, it is very disgusting and appalling that the INEC, led by its former chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu, declined to update the records of NNPP National and State Executives in favour of the FCT judgment Creditors after  valid Congresses and Convention had been dully concluded and results submitted to INEC.

It is disheartening that in a constitutional democracy, an institution like INEC will be unperturbed in flagrant disobedience to court rulings and judgments.

Prof. Joash Amupitan                                            INEC, Chairman

Noting that a new sheriff has come to town in INEC in person of Prof. Joash Amupitan, The NNPP in a letter dated 15th of October,  and officially received by the Federal Ministry of Justice at the Hqrs Office of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation,  Requested for Urgent Intervention of the Office of Attorney General on the non compliance of Independent National Electoral Commission INEC with the FCT judgment on the leadership of New Nigeria People's Party with Suit No.FCT/HC/CV/5518/2024..

The copies of the official letter received by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation is hereby presented to the media and the general public.

We strongly believe in the impeccable records and integrity of Chief Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) the Chief Law Officer and Attorney General of Federal Republic of Nigeria and the capacity of his good office to advise INEC and other government related agencies on the need for total obedience to the rule of law no matter whose ox is gore.

In the same vein, we strongly believe that the new INEC Chairman  will surely walk the talk in accordance with  his promise on the floor of the Senate during his official screening exercise where he promised to clear all the mess in INEC and write the wrongs of the immediate past leadership.

To sustain our enduring democracy total adherence to the rule of law is very germaine, noting that we must not continue this way any longer

Signed;

Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday

Secretary General

New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP)
