OSHODI-ISOLO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY 2: SUPPLY OF FOOD ITEMS AND FARM ACCESSORIES

 

House of Representative Honourable member representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2, Lagos under the Labour Party, Hon. Barr. Jesse Okey-Joe over the weekend partnered with the Federal Cooperative College (ORJ River), In conjunction with a BOAMT Consult Limited in embarking on mass distribution of Food grains and Farm Implements in the Oshodi- Isolo federal constituency tagged, " Supply of food items and Farm Accessories".


The program which held at Greenfield Estate in Ago, Okota witnessed a large turn out of members of the constituent ranging from all works of life, tribe, religion, tradition, political affiliation, party wards, churches, mosque, community leaders/members and different security formations ranging from the police force, Federal road Safety corps, DSS and others who partook in this August Occasion.


The Director General Campaign Organization of Hon Okey-Joe, Chief Onyebuchi Uche who represented the Honorable highlighted that the Initiative is one amongst the numerous fulfilled campaign promises of the Honourable to his constituent.                                                             Nothing that the Honourable have delivered and affected lives of the community members in areas such as Education, Infrastructure, Empowerment, Skill acquisition even for the less privileged, Street solar lights and much more.

The issue of the recent food shortage and inflation witnessed presently in Nigeria cannot be over emphasized. The soaring prices of food items especially grains is daily on the increase making these once cheap grains such as rice, beans, semovita, maize and other not easily affordable to the common man on the streets.


Mazi Chuks Nwosu the Special Adviser to Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi on Media/Communications stated that the timely intervention of the Honourable in Initiating this project is a welcomed and appreciated gesture as a leader that has the welfare of his constituent at heart.

Nothing that as a visioner and a pragmatic leader, the Honourable have recently put counter measures in place to combat the seasonal issue of flooding witnessed in his constituent by initiating prompt evacuation of canals and sewages in the community ahead the coming rainy season.



With show of appreciation from all who attended and benefitted from the program, they all praised the Honourable for his kind humanitarian gesture to his people.
