NNPP: DISSOLUTION OF MOU WITH KWANKWASIYYA MOVEMENT AND THE NATIONAL MOVEMENT

 COMMUNIQUE.......

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF 54th NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE NEW NIGERIA PEOPLE'S PARTY HELD ON THE 4TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2025 AT ROCK VIEW HOTEL, APAPA, LAGOS.

1) The Convention adopted the recently concluded nationwide congresses by the party in all Wards, Local Governments, States and the Six Geo-Political Zones in the Federation.

2) The Convention reaffirmed the decision of the Board of Trustees and returned Dr Agbo Gilbert Major led National Working Committee to continue the day to day running of the administration of the party.

3) The Convention retained NNPP Constitution 2022 as amended.

4) The Convention reaffirmed that Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Engr Buba Galadima, and Ahmed Ajuji led factional National Working Committee remain expelled from the party.

5) The Convention appealed and encouraged INEC to implement and enforce the compelling judgement of the Abia State High Court delivered by Hon. Justice C.U OKOROAFOR Suit No. HUZ/11/2024 on 1st of November 2024 and upload the new National Working Committee members of the New Nigeria People's party led by Dr Agbo Major Gilbert and replace Dr Ahmed Ajuji led factional National Working Committee who before now have been expelled from the party.

Furthermore, the Convention noted with concern that the continued existence and retention of Dr Ahmed Ajuji led factional National Working Committee as reflected on the INEC server is completely a disobedience to the Abia State High Court order amongst many others and a disrespect to rule of law in Nigeria.

The Convention therefore call to duty the Chairman of INEC Prof. Yakubu Mohammed to respect the order of the Court by uploading and recognizing the Agbo Major Gilbert led National Working Committee as the authentic, lawful and duly elected national officers of the New Nigeria People's Party.

6) The Convention agreed and adopted that all elected members of the House of Assembly and House of Representatives on the platform the party shall be granted automatic ticket to re-contest elections in 2027, only those who show commitment for the progress and development of the party shall be granted such waiver.

7) The Convention passed a vote of confidence on the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of the New Nigeria People's Party in person of Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam for his selflessness, guidance and support for the party and members of the party.

8) The Convention reaffirmed the termination of NNPP Memorandum of Understanding entered with the Kwankwasiyya Movement and The National Movement prior to the 2023 General Elections due to non conformity of both Kwankwasiyya Movement and The National Movement to the terms and conditions of the agreement.

9) The Convention observed and made it clear that Senator Rabiu Musa KWANKWASO as a natural person is not known to New Nigeria People's Party as he was merely a servant and leader of kwankwasiya Movement. This simply means that with the termination of Memorandum of Understanding with kwankwasiya movement, indeed an artificial person, it stands to reason assertively that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and all his unemployed characters of kwankwasiya members and NWC are duly and legitately expelled by the Convention of 4th February, 2025.

10) The Convention reaffirmed and graciously extend invitation to all Nigerians with the dream and concept of building a new Nigeria to join forces with the party so as to birth a greater Nigeria of our dreams through good governance and strict adherence to the rule of law in Nigeria.

Signed:

Engr. Mohammed Babayo Abdullahi

Chairman, Convention Committee
