ALLEGED BACKMAIL AGAINST THE DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER (HOR)

NNPP WRITES HON SPEAKER, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OVER MISCHIEF AND BLACKMAIL TARGETING THE DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER BY KWANKWASO AND HIS GROUP,

WARNS AGAINST ATTEMPTS TO DESTABILISE PARTY BY ILLEGALLY INVITING RT HON ALIYU SANI MADAKI AND HON KABIRU ALHASSAN RURUM BY KWANKWASIYA GROUP LEADERS MASQUERADING AS NNPP LEADERS,

TO REPORT GROUP TO SECURITY AGENCIES TO FORSTALL BREAKDOWN OF LAW AND ORDER,

REITERATES EXPULSION OF SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASSO AND HIS KWANKWASIYA GROUP FROM PARTY:

Gentlemen of the press, you recall that the last time we had an interaction with you was to bring  you up to speed with the recent Abia High Court ruling which returned the management of our dear party to the Board of Trustees (BOT) under the leadership of Dr. Boniface  Okechukwu Aniebonam who is also its founder.

Today's briefing is to update you on developments resulting from that landmark judgement and the desperate attempts by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his kwankwassiya movement to destabilise the National Assembly caucus of the party following a letter written to the Honourable Speaker requesting that the Deputy Minority Leader, Rt Hon Sani Aliyu Madaki be replaced with someone else who by our party records is not our member. A letter written out of their crass ignorance of the internal workings of the reveraned Green Chamber.

Though the action is not worthy of our response anymore having been adequately tutored on the procedures and house rules for removal and replacement of serving House Leaders in a recent reply to their senseless letter signed by one Dr. Ahmed Ajuji and Dipo Olayoku, (both expelled from our party). It is however worthwhile to let the world know the heightened desperation of the kwankwasssiya group to cause further dissaffection and possible breach of societal peace despite having exited from our party. Theirs' is a group known for recklessness, disruption of public peace and perpetuation of illegalities but our party is known for total adherence to the rule of law, constitutionalism and decency. We would therefore call on security agencies particularly in Kano state to step in and nip in the bud the current moves by the kwankwassiya group to set the state on fire by their recent ignominious action in the House of Representatives against the duo of Hon Madaki and Hon Kabiru Alhassan Rurum as well as:

1. Yusuf Shitu Galambi

2. Abdullahi Sanni Rogo

who by the recent court judgement are the only recognised members of the green chamber elected on our party's platform.

We are also in possession of a letter signed by the Kwankwassiya duo of Ladipo Johnson and Alh Ali Abacha who instead of referring to themselves as Chairman and Secretary of the disciplinary committee of  kwankwassiya group referred to themselves as that of NNPP. We reiterate that the two people there were long expelled from the NNPP and so can't act on its behalf. We also further emphasise that Hon Madaki and Hon Rurum, based on video clips available to us at the party National Headquarters have long denounced their membership of the kwankwassiya group, we are therefore left to wonder the rationale behind inviting non members of a group to face disciplinary actions of such a group. They have no authority to act on behalf of NNPP and so whatever results from this their illegal moves would be considered null and void in line with the recent court ruling.

We call on security agencies to further censor the activities of this group and its leaders particularly Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima with a view to making them conform with rules and orders of the society especially the recent court ruling which confirmed their expulsion and that of several others from the party. The only way we can guarantee peace is for appropriate security agencies to rise up to their responsibilities. We have forwarded petitions to appropriate  security agencies in this direction and hope they would do the needful swiftly.

The 10th House of Representatives have done marvelously well since its inception and as a law abiding political party with members elected on its platform there, we can't fold our hands and watch these enemies of democracy with suspected hidden agenda engage in acts capable of causing confusion. We urge the Hon Speaker, (though already contained in our letter before him) to henceforth act only on letters duly signed by the BOT Chairman Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam or the duo of Dr Agbo Gilbert Major and Comrade Sunday Olaposi Oginni as National Chairman and National Secretary going forward.

Dr Agbo Gilbert Major,

National Chairman,

NNPP.
