HON. CALLS OUT THE MINISTER OF WORKS ON THE SLOW PACE OF MUSHIN-EJIGBO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
PRESS RELEASE
Concerns over the Progress of the Mushin-NNPC-Ejigbo Road Construction Project
I am writing to bring to your attention the slow pace of the construction work on the Mushin-NNPC-Ejigbo road in Lagos State, which commenced in 2023. Despite the contractor and workers being on site, the project's progress is uncertain, and its completion within the specified timeframe is in doubt. The project appears to be experiencing "motion without movement."
Hon. Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi
As a member of the House Committee on Works and FERMA, I am eager to ensure the timely completion of this projection. Therefore, I respectfully urge the Honourable Minister of Works to deploy a team of engineers and experts, including the Federal Controller of Works in charge of the South West and Lagos, to join the inspection team. I suggest this inspection take place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at noon.
I kindly request a prompt response to this request, as it is essential to address the concerns surrounding this project's progress.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Hon. (Barr.) Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi
MHR, Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II, Lagos.
