KANO CRISIS: NNPP EXONERATES PARTY TERMS IT INTERNAL CULTURAL ISSUE OF KANO PEOPLE.

 BREAKING NEWS

SEN RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO IS NO LONGER A MEMBER OF NNPP, HE AND HIS KWANKWASSIYA MOVEMENT IS LONG AGO EXPELLED FROM NNPP AND CAN NOT SPEAK FOR NEW NIGERIA PEOPLE'S PARTY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES;

KANO EMIRATE CRISIS IS AN INTERNAL CULTURAL ISSUE OF KANO PEOPLE AND CAN ONLY BE RESOLVED BY KANO STATE INDIGENES;

NNPP CAN NOT BE DRAGGED INTO KANO EMIRATE CRISIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE;

NNPP DENIES ACCUSING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF PLANS TO ENTHRONE EMERGENCY RULE IN KANO.

The attention of New Nigeria People's Party's (NNPP) national leadership has being drawn to recent publications on the news accusing the federal government of plans to enthrone emergency rule in Kano state and wishes to state as follows:

1. That the said statement credited to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso does not represent the views of our party. The said Sen Kwankwaso is no longer a member of our party as he has long being expelled  due to gross misconduct , anti party activities and seeming mismanagement of NNPP finances which is presently  under EFCC enquiry. He therefore can not speak for the party not to talk of referring to himself as National Leader. Its a constitutional abberation to do so under any guise.

2. The party for the umpteenth time wish to reiterate that the ongoing Kano Emirate crisis is purely a traditional and cultural issue of the Kano people which can only be resolved by kano state indigines and court of competent jurisdiction. We are therefore very disturbed at any attempt by Sen Kwakwaso who is no longer a member of our party to drag NNPP to direct confrontation with federal government of Nigeria. Our party is a national party that provided platform for the good people of Kano state to elect their governor  and cannot be reduced to addressing Kano cultural issues and leaving its national outlook, universal focus and programmes. Senator Kwankwaso is therefore on his own as his views are not that of our great party.

3. NNPP therefore distances itself from the unfounded allegation recently levelled against the federal government by Sen Kwankwaso and the unemployed characters around him. As a party, we have absolute respect for the rule of law and frown at such reckless statements made by non members of our party  capable of impeding friendship with our sister political parties and the federal government.

4. We urge the good people of Kano state to turn to God in prayers for a peaceful resolution of the festering crisis and for peace to return to the state. It is our hope that elders and elites of Kano state shall continue with the peace process noting that it is only the indigines of Kano state that can resolve this cultural crisis with the help of the federal government of Nigeria for a lasting and enduring solution.

5. For Gov ABBA KABIR YUSUF, it is our hope that he realises that he is the Governor of Kano State and not NNPP nor any other person. It is the greater number of Kano people that voted him to power and therefore his loyalty is to Kano indigines and the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.We wish Kano State and indigines the peace of the Almighty God. With NNPP, we shall achieve the objective of a greater Kano State.
