2027 SENATORIAL POLL: MINISTER DRUMS SUPPORT FOR GODSWILL AKPABIO

 2027 : Minister Seeks Adoption Of Akpabio As Sole Candidate Of All Parties For Senatorial Poll






Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District has drummed support for President of the 10th Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio for a third term come 2027.

They echoed this while hosting a grand reception in honour of the 15th Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio at Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.

In his remarks, Facilitator of the event and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), ObongEmem Ekperikpe Ekpo announced the total support of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District for Senator Akpabio come 2027 which was later seconded by House Member Representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, Hon. Patrick Umoh. 

Echoing the support, Akuku Annang and Paramount Ruler of Etim Ekpo, HRM. Amanam Uko noted that Senator Akpabio is a proud son of the Soil and will receive the backing of primary constituents.



Speaker of the House of Representatives who was represented by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu described Senator Akpabio as a Jinx Breaker while the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jubrin lauded Senator Akpabio for his uncommon achievements.

Reaffirming his commitments to upholding peace in Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno solicited the support of Senator Akpabio and citizens of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District till 2031.




Addressing his People, President of the 10th Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio appreciated his constituents for their support while pledging to work together with the Federal Government to provide infrastructures in Akwa Ibom State including the Ibom Deep Sea port.

The event was widely attended by dignitaries in and out of Akwa Ibom including members of the National Assembly and the State Executive Council.
