NNPP DECRIES POLITICAL INTIMIDATION IN OSUN

‎The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has condemned in strong terms the forceful entrance by hoodlums into the party's office in Osogbo, Osun State capital, saying it's an act of political intimidation.

‎In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, NNPP claimed the party's office  located in the Kingsquare building, opposite Fresh FM radio, Osogbo, was invaded on Tuesday morning and vandalized by hoodlums who carted away valuables.

‎The statement which did not state any particular individual or body as responsible for the attack, however, said it was possibly carried out by political rivals in the state.

‎"We received the ugly information today, Tuesday, from our Secretariat in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, that our offices had been forcefully invaded and vandalized as various valuables were also carted away.

‎"We have no doubt based on information reaching us, that the attack was masterminded by our political rivals in the state. 

It is nothing but political intimidation. The hoodlums were sent by those who are afraid of NNPP. But nothing can stop a moving train, not only in Osun but across the nation, NNPP is on the move to deliver the people from the yoke of poverty, ignorance and underdevelopment."

‎The party called on the Police in the state to investigate the violent act and bring the perpetrators to book.
