INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATED AT AFRICAN FOUNDATION FOR PEACE & LOVE INITIATIVE IN GRAND STYLE

 

African Foundation For Peace and Love Initiative (APPLI) In conjunction with TKPPI/ IKEVI/ TKCC presents " INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE (IDP).... A United Nations Global Event....."PEACE AND TRUST".                             Emphasizing the need for Peace and Love in the world.


This year 2025 Annual International day of peace built to hold every 21st of September was marked by the African Projects/Foundation for Peace and Love Initiative (APPLI/AFPLI) at TimeOn Karios Polythenic at 326 Lagos Abeokuta expressway, Abule Egba, Lagos State in a grand style.


Attended by Students drawn from several parts in Lagos, Dignitaries, Director of Schools and others special guests/artists not relegating the gentlemen of the media....it witnessed a showcase of United Nations President and other international foreign officials who briefly took turns to summarize the International Peace Day theme for this year 2025 tagged 'Peace And Trust'


The Foundation's Presidential speech delivered by the Founder, Rev. Dr. Titus Kolawole Oyeyemi through Zoom picked on the year's theme as phenomenal as it coincides with the foundations over two decades name Peace and Love Initiatives.

He emphasized on the United Nations President's speech " where fear replaces trust...peace may no longer be guaranteed "   He noted that the two words are co- dependent and cyclical with both conditions inter dependent and positively inter connected as Peace solely can produce Trust or vise versa.

Mrs Oyeyemi Ogundipe, the Registrar of TimeOn Karios Polythenic and also the National Secretary for the African Foundation for Peace and Love Initiative, gave a brief insight into how the idea and Initiative grew, tracing their target been initially from schools, the youth, the vulnerable, the less privileged...the core idea been to input the idea and desire for peace into the younger ones.                                         'Nothing that building children is better than repairing men'

Bidemi Bright                                                          Musical Artist 

They event which was graced by musical artist Bidemi Bright who sent the crowd wild with joy as she mimed her ever green song titled 'Araba' whose lyrics encourages Communal Love, Peace, Unity and ONELINESS.

Documentaries of Nigeria's insecurity issues as witnesses in the North and South East presently were showcased for relevance.

Modupeola Saseyi                                                  Administrator, TimeOn Karios Polythenic

The children in the same light were made to liken Peace, Trust and Love situations to their classrooms by the distinguished retired Director of Education and Administrator TimeOn Karios Polythenic, Modupe Saseyi Saseyi, highlighted the founders speech on the intricacies in the three words coming in Unity to achieve the aim of the International Day of Peace.

Rev. Dr. Titus Oyeyemi in his closing speech summed up that the experience of Peace strengthens Trust in others or in a higher power such as Parents, Leaders, Government witnessed in personal relationship and societal dynamics.                                                 He brought to the burner that the word Peace is not a worldly concept but a Dee complete sense of calm provided by no other than God...to those who place their complete reliance and trust in Him.                                   Quoting from the book of Isaiah 26:3, 'God will give perfect peace to those whose mind are steady fast and trust in Him.

The core condition for receiving this peace is unwavering faith and trust in God ...he concluded.

The program which ran alongside the Open House arena canvassing for Jamb admissions for the institution TimeOn Karios Polythenic (TKP), witnessed Mr James Onalo, the Admissions Officer for the institution educating the young faces on the inherent advantages/benefits in considering the institution as their first choice in their Jamb exams.

He enumerated the vase unique course solely offered in the institution ranging from SMT Lab, Electronic Engineering Lab, Computer Lab, Media TV and Radio studio not forgetting the Cyber security and the AI departments. The Registrar of the Institution affirmed the advantages embedded in TimeOn Karios Polythenic in line with the admissions officers speech.



Mr Onalo finally, aligned the institution as that foundered on the premises of Peace and Love while admonishing all present to drink peace, eat peace, preach peace, live peacefully and believe in Peace.
