NNPP DECRIES CONSPIRACY BETWEEN INEC AND SEN. MUSA KWANKWASO

INEC  and Senator Rabiu Musa KWANKWASO a case of conspiracy theory against new Nigeria people's party NNPP

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has decried the delay by INEC in uploading the list of its new leadership on the commission's website, accusing the electoral body of conspiring with Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso to frustrate the party.

This is contained in a statement by NNPP's National Secretary, Comrade Ogini Olaposi Sunday on Thursday.

The party stated that INEC was working with expelled members of the party, including its  2023 presidential candidate, Kwankwaso,  and his followers, Dr Ahmed Ajuji and others who had long been expelled from then party.

It described INEC's refusal to  comply with Court orders on new executive of the NNPP as disappointing and systemic in corruption activities

"The NNPP is gravely concerned and utterly disappointed by the ongoing, brazen refusal of INEC to comply with binding judicial pronouncements that unequivocally recognise  Dr Agbo Major as the authentic National Chairman of our great  party/Comrade Ogini Olaposi as our secretary general.

"This marks the third reminder issued to INEC, despite its active participation in the legal proceedings culminating in the judgment of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory delivered on April 3, 2025 (Suit No: FCT/HC/CV/5518/2024).

"This judgment remains valid and binding including that of Abia State High Court, yet INEC has chosen to operate outside the law, undermining the integrity of our constitutional democracy and rule of law.

"We are left with no doubt that INEC’s persistent delays is not a mere act of administrative negligence but part of a wider conspiracy by certain anti-democratic elements outside the NNPP to frustrate our party from fully participating in future electoral processes," the party stated.

According to the party,  shadowy forces including but not limited to Kwankwaso,  Kano State  Governor and Elder Buba Galadima are evidently determined to weaken the NNPP, knowing the party’s rising popularity and strong grassroots support across Nigeria.

"This reckless abuse of power on the part of INEC is a dangerous assault on the Constitution, the judiciary, and the democratic rights of millions of Nigerians who look up to NNPP as a future political party in Nigeria.

" The Commission’s actions threaten to plunge the nation further into political instability by reducing confidence in the electoral umpire.

"We recall our letters dated 11th and 14th April 2025 and our latest final reminder dated 30th July 2025, yet INEC continues in defiance.

" Nigerians and the international community are now watching closely to see how far INEC is willing to go in dragging itself into the mud of disrespect for the rule of law.

"Let it be known that the NNPP will not be silenced, cowed, or intimidated. We will deploy every constitutional means, including contempt proceedings and other coercive legal measures, to ensure that INEC obeys the law."

The party stated that it offered this advise, it  remained resolute in its belief that the rule of law would ultimately prevail over the machinations of those afraid of the NNPP’s growing strength and popularity.

".Democracy cannot survive in Nigeria if those charged with protecting it continue to undermine honour and integrity.

"Enough is enough. Nigerians deserve better, and we shall not relent in defending the integrity of our party and the sanctity of our democracy.
