ANAMBRA STATE: ABDUCTED NAVAL OFFICER AND TWO OTHERS RESCUSED BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE

SECURITY: IGP RE-ECHOES FIGHT AGAINST KIDNAPPING, APPLAUDS OFFICERS FOR RESCUE OF 3 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN ANAMBRA STATE, ABDUCTED NAVAL OFFICER, ALONGSIDE 2 OTHERS AT MPAPE AREA OF  FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY

As Operatives Arrest 4 Suspects in Connection with Incident . 

In a coordinated response, on the 22nd of March, 2025 a joint security team comprising operatives of the Anambra State Command and other security agencies successfully rescued 3 kidnapped victims who were abducted at Nkwelle-Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of the State. The victims were immediately taken to the hospital, having sustained some injuries in the hands of their abductors but are responding to treatment.

In a similar development, security operatives responded appropriately to the report of the abduction of a Naval Officer, alongside 2 others at Mpape area of the Federal Capital Territory on the 21st of March, 2025. The operatives of the FCT Police Command in collaboration with the Nigerian Military, the DSS Hunters and Local Vigilantes swung into action in a bid to rescue the kidnapped victims and they were all rescued on the 23th of March, 2025. The 3 kidnapped victims were successfully rescued unhurt at Anguwan Mu’azu area of Nasarawa State, and the operatives arrested 4 suspected kidnappers in connection with the abduction.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph,D., NPM, while commending the officers for their firm collaboration, show of bravery and dedication to ensuring the country is rid of criminally-minded elements, has assured Nigerians, again, of the  commitment of the Nigeria Police Force under his leadership to continually strategize to curb crimes including violent crimes, and  safeguarding lives and property of the citizens of our dear country.
