NNPP FOUNDER (S): DE STABILIZATATION AND HIJACK OF NEW NIGERIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY (NNPP)

The Senate President,

National Assembly,

Three Arms Zone,

Abuja.

Sir,

UNRULY CONDUCT TO DESTABILISE AND HIJACK NEW NIGERIA PEOPLE'S PARTY FROM ITS ORIGINAL FOUNDER (S) BY SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO AND BUBA GALADIMA

We write to bring to your knowledge and that of all members of the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria the ongoing crisis in our dear party, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) masterminded by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima.

The decision to do this is borne out of the need for your hallowed chamber to intervene to forstal possible breakdown of law and order.

The NNPP, an off shoot of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), a body of maritime logistics facilitators was formed in 2001 by Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam and registered as a political party with INEC in 2002. Since then it has operated as a political party fielding candidates like all others in every election.

In February 2022, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso after series of telephone conversations sent a delegation led by Buba Galadima to the country home of the Founder, Dr Aniebonam at Umuawulu, a suburb of Awka in Anambra state to plead for the use of the platform in the 2023 general election, a request which was granted at no financial cost.

A convention was held thereafter in March 2022 in Abuja to admit Kwankwaso, Buba Galadima, Prof Ahmed Rufai Alkali, the TNM group, Kwankwaso's kwankwasiya group and the then National Chairman, Dr Aniebonam handed over the position of national chairman to Prof Rufai Alkali to become the BOT Chairman/Founder and also to enjoy life membership of the board as clearly specified in the party's constitution.

Shortly after the 2023 general election, the relationship between the Founder and Senator Kwankwaso went sour due to certain anti democratic decisions single handedly taken by Kwankwaso which obviously were not acceptable to the Founder and also not in line with the party's constitution and gentle man agreement reached. All attempts to call him to order led to the present ongoing crisis which has deeply polarised the party structure and triggered several ongoing litigations.

It's worthwhile to inform Your Excellency and the entire Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of the desire of the original Founder (Dr Aniebonam) and founders (NAGAFF) to take back their party having terminated the marriage consummated in 2002 hence the need for this letter.

It is our sincere hope that you would use your good office in consultation with the Federal government to intervene in this crisis and direct all relevant government agencies including INEC to immediately facilitate the return of the party to its original owners.

We regret to note that senator Kwankwaso as former governor of Kano state, senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, member of the House of Representatives and minister of defence Federal Republic of Nigeria can get to this low level of disobedience to rule of law.

It is even more worrisome seeing the avoidable circumstances of inciting the young ones in Kano working together with Buba Galadima against the federal government of Nigeria. It is our hope that the kwankwasiya movement will continue to keep the peace of the society.

We must remark here that NNPP is not an opposition party to APC government nor any other political party in Nigeria but rather a responsible partner to the government and sister political parties in Nigeria noting that it is God that decides the leader of people.

Generally it is our firm belief that it is high time the federal government of Nigeria called senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima to order in the interest of the peace of the society and the greater number of Nigerians.

Please accept the assurances of our highest regards.

Dr Agbo Gilbert Major,

National Chairman,

NNPP.
