PROTEST:  NNPP URGES PATIENT WITH FGN The Founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr Boniface Aniebonam has  appealed to  aggrieved Nigerians and in particular,  youths to exercise patience with the government on  issues leading to the planned nationwide protest.  NNPP FOUNDER,DR BONIFACE ANIEBOLAM  Aniebonam in a statement in Lagos on Sunday,  said that any protest now may be counter productive.  The NNPP chieftain noted that while peaceful protest is a fundamental human rights in Nigeria, the organisers cannot guarantee that it would not be hijacked. "We must understand that what we cannot get peacefully is equally impossible through violence. If we succeed through violence It may not last  "Indeed,  peaceful protest is part of democratic principles to advance good governance in a civil society. However, the  situation may become violent." NNPP AND THE NEW LOGO By Chidi Okechukwu The recent change in logo of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) presents a major opportunity for enhanced education and knowledge as basic policy in the country. At an event in Abuja where the new logo of the party was formally presented to Nigerian voters, having been earlier unveiled at the National Executive Committee meeting of the party and approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), NNPP National leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso explained that the change was a reflection of the party's leadership's belief in education as a harbinger of development. HON OKEY-JOE ONUAKALUSI ON-SITE INSPECTION OF ISOLO/EJIGBO/ALIMOSHO ROAD PROJECT

Barr Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, Honourable member, house of Reps,representing Oshodi/Isolo federal Constituency 2, under the Labour party, embarked on an unscheduled, on site inspection of the Isolo/ Ejigbo/ Alimosho on going road construction project in his Constituency. Being an unscheduled visit, the Engineers and residents where taken unawares. He engaged the Engineers on site, as to delay witnessed having exceeded the contractual duration of 20 months by June 2024, earmarked for the completion of the project. The Engineer affirmed the delay in delivering pointing out that the raining season is a major challenge. Explaining that since such challenge was not anticipated most construction materials cannot be effectively applied, to avoid wastage.
